Post-Christmas Re-Stock at Target!

This is a quick and lazy post - mostly just the pictures this time! I went to Target today to pick up some house stuff and check on whether any interesting toys had gotten cheaper in the clearance aisle. I got one of the Hello Kitty Barbie Minis for $5, but that's all I found there. I don't know what I was expecting, even right after Christmas there wasn't much I wanted!

Looks like there are some promising new items tho! First and foremost - there's a second series of the cute mini animal plushies!

Lion, bear(?), zebra and koala

I think I like this second series even better than the first series! ^^; The zebra, at the very least, has my name on it - she has a mohawk! (ok, i know it's a zebra mane, but it looks like a mohawk to me! XD) Otherwise so far no new Sanrio stuff that I saw.

Looking at some of the non-Barbie dolls first, I noticed that Juku Couture seems to be gone (and I missed my shot at getting one of the dolls on discount I guess - that was what I had secretly been looking for! It's too bad I'm not going back to CT just yet, they had tons of them in the CT stores...) and Liv Dolls seem to be getting a lot less space. I didn't really see any Only Hearts dolls, but I'm hoping they aren't really gone. I don't think the toy aisle has complete "settled" yet - seems like things are still on clearance/still being stocked. For new things, I saw this new style of Strawberry Shortcake doll there for the first time. They have soft bodies, and I don't know how poseable they are (if at all) but the faces are really cute. They remind me a bit more of the old dolls maybe?

The new Disney Fairies dolls were also cute in their own way, but more importantly (ha!) I was thinking maybe I could steal the outfit on the red one for one of my dals? I'll have to wait for a sale tho...

There were some new Rainbow Brite dolls too!

My friend told me about these, but it's still surprising to see new Rainbow Brite. She wasn't anything I cared about as a kid, but I will be tempted to buy one of these just to steal the boots! XD (maybe the purple one? hm...) Waiting to see if there's a sale first tho!

And just to give a bit of attention to some things that aren't doll-related at all - it looks like Bella Sara is trying to move beyond the card game world into selling actual toys. I have never played the game, but I was all about horses as a kid, so I still am secretly a bit excited about horse figurines.... XD These don't have cute faces, but I like the crazy patterns!

Ok, on to the Barbie stuff! I was really surprised to see that Target is now carrying the Barbie Basics stuff - including the coveted (by me) accessories pack!

Now that I've seen the accessories packs in person tho, maybe they are more money than they are worth to me - the shoes aren't *that* exciting for $15. We'll see tho.

Apparently not all of the Targets will be having these? I saw it in one nearby Target, but not at the other. It looks like maybe they don't have the section fully stocked yet either? There were also some really cute retro dolls - a schoolteacher, a 'rocket scientist' (dressed like an old-fashioned astronaut/test pilot) and a couple of others I'm forgetting. It's really hard to take pictures in that particular Target, so I was hoping to see those at the second Target, where it's quieter, but no luck - they didn't have them. :( It's ok tho, you can see them all on the Barbiecollector website: student teacher (love the skirt), astronaut, registered nurse, black barbie, and really awesome 'instant want' Russia Barbie. (Ok, sadly Russia Barbie was not at Target. I just want her now that I've seen her on the website. Debbie Harry and Joan Jett are pretty awesome too!) One thing about the 'vintage' Barbies tho - I've seen real vintage Barbies and I didn't think the quality on the repros looked as nice. I'm no Barbie expert tho, so what do you guys think?

There was also a rock and roll Barbie I don't remember seeing before. I like the headset!

There'd be no sense in buying this Barbie since it's one of the ones for little kids that doesn't really come with clothes - but I love the pink hair and sparkling lips!

New version of a Barbie house too - this is her vacation home I guess. I am not sure what I thought of it...

This seems like a good place to put the picture I took of the Mega-house I saw at Target during Christmas time. It's too late to get this, but I guess I may as well post the picture anyway? I actually saw this box in my neighbor's yard right after Christmas and figured some lucky kid got it as a present. I have to admit... I was just a little envious! XD

Anyway, back to new stuff. H2O Barbie has some sort of outfit you can draw designs on with water or something. More interestingly tho, she has silver tattoos all over her legs! That's something a bit different!

This is an old picture too, taken before Christmas, but unlike the Mega-house, I did still see these in stock. Kind of a fun idea, I thought!

Not toys at all, but I figure people might like to know there was some Paul Frank stuff here and there - I noticed some shirts, and then all these cards and stickers - good news if you are a Paul Frank fan! ;)

Also noticed some new clothes from someone who is probably a big name designer. I have to admit... I thought they were pretty horrible! XD
