I did pick up some cute things here in Boston, but those will have to wait until later, as that is part of what is in my queue of things to photograph. My 'in-store' photos this time are from a quick trip to CT.
One of the main things I was hoping to find was the Blythe + Littlest Pet Shop sets. I chased all over Boston (well, ok, to two stores) trying to find them at the TRU here, and I had no luck at all. I was going to give up and just order them off amazon, but I knew they were $2 cheaper (each) at TRU. So I figured it was worth waiting to just *see* if they had them in CT. But, as usual, CT didn't let me down! Hooray!

I actually found all 4 sets in the Manchester TRU, even tho I only bought 3. They also had a huge supply at the TRU in Milford (many copies of each set) but a. I had already bought them and b. the people working at the Milford store are not as nice as the people in Manchester. So I really do prefer to just shop in Manchester. I was esp. pleased to see these sets at TRU as I had a $5 off a $25 purchase coupon. Which I did not actually know until AFTER I made my purchase. And then the coupon wouldn't print right, so all I could print was the barcode. The people in Milford were totally rude about all of it, but the people in Manchester helped me get my discount after all, which is why I say they are a much better store. Ignoring the Milford thing, I am a happy camper overall! I got 3 out of the 4 sets. I skipped the one with the spider. The doll is cute, but I don't like spiders. I may still end up getting her later, I just figured I shouldn't spend all my money at once! Somehow it makes me feel more 'reasonable' if I wait to depackage the ones I bought to see if I really like them before I spend that much money. It's all rationalization of course, but you know, whatever helps you sleep thru the night, right? I actually only meant to buy the skating one and the horseback riding one, but then I couldn't resist the one with the dog too...
Ok, enough blahblahblah. Here's some pictures!
Toys R Us had a small restock of Hello Kitty items. The first new thing I noticed was this plushie:

She has on cute jammies and has a removeable sleep mask. Somewhat oddly she is designed to hold things inside her head. o.O She comes with some sort of activity pack - I guess you are supposed to take her to sleepovers, or maybe for traveling? I am not sure, but she's still cute!

I was very tempted by the 'Magic Apple Keychain' - I may have to pick it up when I'm back in CT in two weeks! ^^; I guess the apple part lights up and turns different colors. Yes, totally useless, but it *lights up*!! XD

These don't do anything except wobble (they are heavy! The bases are weighted), but they are cute with the presents. Esp. badz maru! He has such a funny expression!

This little windup car was not really my speed (car pun! ha!) but it was cute!

I like the idea of this speaker, tho I wish I could try it to see how the sound was. I suppose it's pretty bad - what can you expect for $15? - but how bad is bad? Hello Kitty moves ("rocks" as they say) if that is a sufficient added perk to make you ignore sound quality... ;)

Then there was this 'refrigerator/oven' type thing...

Can you still call it a fridge if it also keeps things warm? XD I just noticed the fact that 'bottle' is a sticker - I wonder what word it is covering up?
These lava lamps (aka "motion lamps" - is "lava lamp" trademarked?) are definitely not new, but I think they are restocked...

I like the bird sitting on her head in the polka dot design! Tempting!
I don't know if this camera is actually new either, but I am always so tempted by the idea of getting a Hello Kitty camera!

Now, I know I don't want any walkie talkies, but how cute is the design?

Ditto for the mousepad - I really don't need one, but I love Kitty with the coffee cup and the laptop bag!

This little alarm clock was also super-cute and tempting! I remember seeing a wall clock just like this a few years ago at Target. I really wanted it, but I knew I wouldn't be able to hang it up anywhere. An alarm clock would be a lot more practical - would fit in so many more places! - but I still have a lot of clocks... So I didn't buy that either. In fact, I didn't buy any Sanrio stuff at TRU. I figured I should save my money to see what was new at the Sanrio store. And (bad luck for me!) my run of not liking anything at the Sanrio store seems to be over. There was a LOT of cute things to tempt me!
Sadly, it is almost impossible to take pictures at the Sanrio store in Milford. The store is right next to the mall security office, and there is (for some reason) a LOT of security in that mall. And apparently they don't much like people taking pictures. So I just have one really bad cell picture to show you. I'll upload photos of my purchases tomorrow - that'll give you a much better idea of what's new there!

As you can *kinda* see, there are a bunch of plushies of Kitty dressed as her Sanrio friends in honor of the 50th anniversary. I really liked these - especially Chococat and My Melody!! - but they were kinda pricey. The biggest one, which was definitely the cutest, was $20. The next size was $12ish. It was still pretty cute, but not AS cute. I was totally ready to rationalize buying the $20 size, because for $8 more dollars, why not get the nice one? BUT... I can't keep buying plushies, and these were not very soft. So I reluctantly didn't buy one. I really wanted Melody tho. They did offer a keychain size for about $8 as well. I bought Chococat. I figured tiny at least didn't take up much space, and at the smallest size, Chococat was cuter than Melody...
Skipping back to TRU, I did see a few new Barbie type items as well.
Well, really only 2 things are Barbie, and they are both retro-style Wizards of Oz dolls.

Dorothy's dress with little Toto on it is beyond adorable. I like the little crown on Glinda (it is Glinda, right?) too! Also, the box is really cute as well! Curse Mattel for managing to tempt me!
TRU also had the Bratz boys, which I hadn't seen yet...

I think I don't like the illustrations on these boxes! Oh well.

These are definitely NOT new, they were on clearance. I totally would have no use for these dolls - not even to steal the clothes (they're plastic) - but the circus concept is kinda unique and I love that little purple doll's hair!
This is somewhat random, but even tho it is for an American Girl size doll (I think?) it seemed like it might work for a pullip, if you needed a large wardrobe for one. This would like 'The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe' size wardrobe for a pullip, they could fit inside it...

Target had some new Barbie goodies too, including the new Twilight dolls.

I am no Twilight fan (at all) but this is such the cutest Barbie ever! She's going on my wishlist. She's actually been on my wishlist since I saw a preview photo of her, but she's just as cute in person as I was hoping!

She even has that cute necklace!
They also had this chick:

I don't know who she is, and I don't like her as well either. The clothes are sort of ok, but not as exciting as I feel like they could be.
I saw two new outfit packs - which was sort of weird, no? Why not more?

This one is seriously ugly, but it does have skates if you need skates! (that's a pretty elaborate trophy too - Barbie must be *really* good! XD)

I ended up buying this one because the horse shirt was cute, the boots are useful (I have them in black already) and the gloves are interesting. I have no idea what I will do with the hideous pink riding pants tho. Did they *have* to make those pink?! >.<
I was hoping that they'd be starting to stock Halloween stuff - esp. because the Back to School stuff was kinda boring this year - but I think maybe next week. There was some new Halloween stuff in the dollar aisle (tho nothing exciting) and some large bags of candy were sort of sneaking in at the back of the school supplies in the 'seasonal' section, but mostly there was nothing yet. However, the new Halloween Barbie was there...

I guess I don't really like her this year - tho the pink stripes in her hair are cute. The clothes are what I want tho, and I don't like them so much...
Lastly, just something Random. Apparently that chick from the Disney channel has her own line of clothing at Target. I don't really 'get' her, but I know Disney needs something to replace Hannah Montana! I have to admit, I probably prefer Selena Gomez if I've gotta pick a random Disney pop star... But that's besides the point. I just wanted to say I liked this cute t-shirt:

The 'ruffle' on the bee's skirt is an actual ruffle. It's cute! Sorry the picture is blurry tho. ^^;
And that concludes this mega-post!
