The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly

Haha, see what happens? One time I add my photos here immediately after taking them, and that's the time I kinda wish I hadn't. Because I ended up turning the photos into a story, and now I have to re-post them! ^^; Anyway, sorry for the doubles, but here's the story...

-----------
The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly

Don't worry, I'm not calling any of our girls ugly! We all know no one is ugly on Pinky Street!
And there's no cowboys here either. Nevertheless, work with me on the title...

-- from esmereldes - (?)
Kokoro-chan is a good girl. She's very polite and always says please and thank you. She's smart too!

-- from esmereldes - (?)
Once she graduates from high school, Kokoro-chan is going to Harvard!
(That's Harvard's Widener Library in the background)

-- from esmereldes - (?)
Ganbaro, Kokoro-chan!

-- from esmereldes - (?)
Tamae-kun, on the other hand, is another story.

-- from esmereldes - (?)
She's clearly from the wrong side of the tracks...

-- from esmereldes - (?)
She's got dreams tho, and she's gonna go far...

-- from esmereldes - (?)
Just as soon as that stupid bus gets here, that is!

-- from esmereldes - (?)
Yoshiko certainly isn't ugly! But some of the cars that come into her auto repair shop sure are! :pshock: Yoshiko is a gifted mechanic - she can fix anything, no matter how "ugly" the problem is.

-- from esmereldes - (?)
All her friends call her "sensei" out of respect for her skills.

-- from esmereldes - (?)
The fact that she's the smallest mechanic out there doesn't stop her at all!

Rusty

Rusty, originally uploaded by esmereldes.

Rusty is just a description of the picture, not necessarily the name of this pinky. I think Tamae is always Tamae. XD

This was taken in my office parking lot. The used car lot next door has this shed/building that's this insanely vivid red and I have always wanted to take a photo there, even tho the prospect of getting caught by co-workers doing so is a bit daunting... I successfully managed to avoid that fate this time tho. *phew!*

These were also taken possibly for a gallery show my friend asked me if I'd want to take part in. The theme is supposed to be "Fire", but she said that would also include rust. I am not really an 'artist' (esp. not with photos!!!), and I am *really* bad about describing how something fits in with a theme. It's kind of entertaining to listen to my friend describe my photos thusly. Anyhow, even tho the prospect is somewhat squirm-inducing, I think it would be fun to participate, so I do want to print up some photos to give her. The show is in January, but I would like to have something to give her before... December. Soon would be nice.

I've been experimenting with photo printing. I'm one of those people that got a digital camera and then stopped printing their photos (this makes the printer industry rip its collective hairs out). I tried the service that's linked with flickr (Quop) and didn't really like it. The pictures are too saturated (aka, I thought they looked too red). I reverted back to snapfish, which looks better to me. This sort of sucks tho, because then I have to upload my pictures twice. Bah!

I'm also experimenting with different ways to make adding photos to my webpage less of a pain. That's gonna be a work in progress...
(I know there's a bunch of photos I've forgotten to upload here, I don't remember which they are... ^^;)

Now that all the strawberries are picked, Riessa used them to make all sorts of strawberry desserts and then invited her friends over to her patio for a garden party!

-- from esmereldes - (?)
Riessa: "Hello everyone and welcome to my party! We have lots of strawberry treats! I hope everyone enjoys themselves!"

-- from esmereldes - (?)
Pucchi: "Wow! There's nothing better than a party out on the patio..."

-- from esmereldes - (?)
Arc: "If anyone wants us, we'll be over here by the cake and cookies (at least until they're gone... heheheh)"

-- from esmereldes - (?)
Alice: "Do you want one Hikaru?"

-- from esmereldes - (?)
Violette: "Hey, where did you get the wine?"
Avril: "Hrmpf mrf mrf hurmf mrf"*
*which means: 'it's over there on the table' - Avril shouldn't talk with her mouth full! :pgiggle:

-- from esmereldes - (?)
Sakura: "Hm, I wonder if Alice is *ever* going to let anyone else use the fondue pot?"

-- from esmereldes - (?)
Pucchi: "Hey Ten-chan! Can you bring my drink over here?"

-- from esmereldes - (?)
Ten-chan: "Uh... just a sec... I think my shish kabob is almost done..."

-- from esmereldes - (?)
Hikaru: "Hm, I wonder which cake to try next?"

-- from esmereldes - (?)
Suu: "Wow, I'm so full... Riessa can sure throw a party!"

Everyone had lots of fun! Unfortunately it will be a looong time before they get to have another garden party because Nightfall got very tired of picking things out of the grass as klutzy pinkys knocked things over...

Strawberry Party - Part 1: Growing the Strawberries

-- from esmereldes - (?)
This is Riessa. She likes gardening and throwing parties... (and changing her hair!)

This year Riessa is growing strawberries! :awesome:
-- from esmereldes - (?)
She checks on them every day...

-- from esmereldes - (?)
...and makes sure they have enough water...

-- from esmereldes - (?)
"They're growing really well!"

-- from esmereldes - (?)
"I think they are just about ready to pick! I'm going to need some help..."

Riessa calls up Pucchi and Yoshiko who agree to help her out! :cute:
-- from esmereldes - (?)
"Look! I think some are ripe over here! They look really tasty!"

Yoshiko brought along her scooter to help bring the strawberries home...
-- from esmereldes - (?)

-- from esmereldes - (?)
"Riessa! Yoshiko's here! Come help me pick up this basket please!"

-- from esmereldes - (?)
The girls get to work picking the berries...

-- from esmereldes - (?)
...and then Yoshiko drives them home!
